Classes

Our classrooms provide an environment that is clean, safe and child-friendly. Each classroom has a variety of learning activities. We do this by providing divided centers including cozy/reading, Manipulative, math, science, music, blocks, dramatic play and art. Both large group and small group activities give the children experience in listening skills and individual instruction through smaller group sizes.

Toddlers

Our Toddlers program provides age appropriate weekly lesson plans and activities that include the main domains: Social Emotional, Language and Literacy, Discoveries, and Physical Development and Health. We also provide personalized developmental goals for each child. They enjoy a number of activities that include gross and fine motor, social play, art projects, math, literacy, science and more! Daily reports are also provided daily with insight into your child’s day. Children are also provided with personalized cubbies and cots that are used by only them during their stay in the program. Throughout the toddler program we provide the children with monthly menus that teach healthy eating habits through our provided breakfast, lunch, and snack. Bright Kidz also provides semi-annual professional photos for children of all ages and encourage family involvement year round.

Preschool

The preschool program provides age appropriate weekly lesson plans and activities that encourage the main domains: Social Emotional, Approaches to Learning, Language & Literacy, Math, Science, Family, Community, World, Creative Expression and Physical Health and Development. Teachers provide individual goals for each child while integrating the curriculum and considering their needs. Each child is sent home with a daily report that provides insight to its day!

Pre-Kindergarten

The Pre-kindergarten program prepares our Butterflies to the Kindergarten. We use similar assessment as the schools do to assess the children and to make sure they are developing in the right path. We are a partner for the readiness team This program provides age appropriate weekly lesson plans and activities that encourage the main domains: Social Emotional, Approaches to Learning, Language & Literacy, Math, Science, Family, Community, World, Creative Expression and Physical Health and Development. Teachers provide individual goals for each child while integrating the curriculum and considering their needs.

School (Age 5-12 Years)

The Busy Bees is the program utilized for our before and After Care. This particular program includes homework time each day, along with social emotional, physical, literacy, math, sciences and STEM activities. They are provided with breakfast before they go to school and supper for after they return off the bus. Each child is also provided with a personal cubby.

Before and/or After Care

Our before and after care program includes the following schools:

• Thurgood Marshall Elementary School
• Caravel Academy
• Any other school as long as parent provides transportation.

Summer Camp

Our Summer Camp program includes children ages 5-12 year old. Summer camp is provided over a ten week period. Each year weekly themes are created that include gross motor, fine motor, social play, art expressions, language, literacy, and STEM activities. Weekly field trips are planned in accordance to the theme. Monthly menus listing our provided breakfast, lunch, and snack encourage healthy eating habits for your children. Personal cubbies are also provided for the duration of the camp.
